News
The tour has been really great so far. Super fun, packed shows, and we've gone all the way from freezing cold Quebec City to shorts weather in southern Florida. Right now we're driving across Alligator Alley on our way to Ft. Lauderdale.
The big news for this post is that the Streetlight show in New Orleans is cancelled, but The Stitch Up and the Swellers added a last minute show with The Rooks at Vintage Uptown in New Orleans on Monday Feb, 9th. Please spread the word if you are in New Orleans or know someone there that is into live music!

We're headed out on tour once again to kick off 09. This time we're going out with Streetlight Manifesto, A Wilhelm Scream, and the Swellers. We will be going on first of four, so if you want to catch the Stitch Up, try to get there early as we'll be going on about 20 min before doors each night. Click on the tourdates to see if we're headed to your town.. We're headed through Canada, FL, and TX. A bit of cold, and hopefully a bit of heat.
Playing bass with me this time will be Rick Johnson from Mustard Plug/ Bomb the Music Industry/ The Rick Johnson Rock N Roll Machine. On drums, my buddy Lance will be holding down the kit. He played drums on my second album, Sweets and Meats, and is also an amazing studio wizard. Any album I've put out that sounds good is really a result of Lance having a hand in it. The ones that sound crap.. well those are the ones that I was too cheap to hire him. Anyway, he also toured for years with the Blue Meanies, and is currently the touring sound man for the band Ash.
In other Stitch Up news, Stitch Up Album # 2 is now in the mix down stages, and should be available from Pentimento sometime in early 09. Oh yeah. Tomas from Streetlight did all the tracking, and so far it sounds amazing. Lance will be mixing it down. That's it for now. See you at the shows!

Big
Thank you’s to everyone who came out to the last tour and picked
up a copy of attitude adjuster. We had a blast on tour with
Streetlight, and I’m happy to announce that they are bringing me
out to support them again in March/April/May.. this time rocking it
solo. Check out the new tour dates just posted!

Currently,
the Stitch Up is northbound on highway 15 headed from Las Vegas to the
land of Mormons, Salt Lake City. We are surrounded by beautiful snow
capped mountains and the van is running like a champ. Last night
in Las Vegas was a good time. It was Rick Johnson’s first
time playing bass with us, and he rocked it. He adds a bit of the
flail factor to the live Stitch Up show, which is a good thing. Check
out the TOUR DATES. Are we headed your way? Can we sleep on your floor in Salt Lake or Denver? See you at the shows.. -dp

Happy
New Year. I feel a bit foggy today, but am excited to post some
new news. The Stitch Up is gearing up for round 2 of the Streetlight
Manifesto, Somewhere in the Between tour. New tour dates are posted, so if we missed you on the first leg, chances are that we will be seeing you soon.

Our
days of short little zig-zagging drives around the East Coast are
coming to a a close. We’re off to Richmond VA today, and
then it’s down to FL, New Orleans, Texas, and then out west.
Things have been going great so far. Had a really great show last
night in Troy, New York, just outside of Albany. The Suburban
Legends are back with us, so the tour is back up to full strength. A
big Thank You goes out to Carrie, who very graciously let us crash at
her apartment after the Lancaster show. Thank you for the
rockin’ breakfast, and the much needed opportunity to catch up on
some laundry too!

We’re
on our way to Lancaster, PA. Last night’s show in Boston at
the Middle East was a blast. It was totally sold out, and the air
and walls were thick with sweat. A big Thank You to our friends Aly and
Kurt for putting us up for two nights in Boston. Aly made some
rockin’ French toast Kurt took some great photos of the Boston
show. You can check them out HERE. There are also pictures up from the NYC show at the Grand Ballroom. See you at the shows.

Well,
while I was feeling sorry for myself for having our van break down in
AZ and having to spend a bunch of money on a rental van, a huge reality
check just put things in perspective.
Last
night in Philadelphia, The Suburban Legends got their entire van and
trailer stolen from a hotel parking lot. All of their gear, all of
their clothes, all of their merch.. Ahhhhhh! Complete
nightmare. If you want to help them out, please go to their website and buy something!
Other
than that, the shows have really been great, and we’ve met lots
of really great people. Big THANK YOU to Scott and Laura for
putting us up for three nights and taking us to those great New Jersey
diners!

The
tour is under way! Well, almost. We started a couple days
ago on our across the country drive from San Diego to the first date of
the tour in Covington, KY, but wound up spending an unexpected 24 hours
in Anthem, AZ north of Phoenix. My van is broken. We left her
behind at a shop to wait for necessary parts. The rental van is
running strong, and although it’s going to be impossible to get
to our first show in Covington tonight, we will definitely be rocking
tomorrow night in Cleveland. Shootz!

A
brief detour from The Stitch Up for just a second.. I’m in NYC
right now getting ready for a comedy show that I’m doing with my
buddy Jerm on Thursday. If you’re in the area, come on out
and say Hi. We are the Raspberry Brothers and we’ll be telling
jokes and having fun with the movie “The Lost Boys.” Will
there be fake vampire teeth? Yes. Will there be funny
wigs.. absolutely. Check out the flyer below.
Also, I’ve recently gotten the Music
page up and running and there’s a few clips up there from the new
album, as well as an unreleased Dan P. solo song featuring the best
brown dog in the world.. Roopie Roo.

Big
news.. The official release date for our new album “Attitude
Adjuster” is November 13. We will have them for sale at our
shows the first week of tour, but the album won’t be available
online or through itunes until the official release date on the 13th.
There
is now a van parked in my driveway that is expected to make it across
the country multiple times in the next couple months. I’m
super excited! All I need to do now is take it to my mechanic for
a once over, tear out the back bench, and install some new curtains so
it doesn’t look so much like a van full of gear. T-shirts
and stickers and buttons are meeting us in Cleveland for the first show
on Nov. 6th, so I’m not going to put them up for sale on the site
until after the tour. See you at the shows.

We
almost own a new van, and the tour dates are now up. It’s
for real! The artwork is ready to be sent off for the new album
“Attitude Adjuster,” and new t-shirts, stickers and buttons
will soon follow.

OK,
so I’ve gotten a new band together and have conned someone into
putting the album out. Although I can’t announce the label
yet, we’re hoping for a winter release and we are going on a full
U.S. and Canada tour Nov-Jan. In the next few weeks, there will be
loads of new content coming in. Artwork, photos, music.. all
coming very soon.
